Well…this could get awkward. Taylor Swift’s, 25, boyfriend, Calvin Harris, 31, sent a very unattractive drawing of her good friend, Sam Smith, 22, on Snapchat — and it’s gone public! It’s unclear, though, whether the DJ meant the picture to be an offensive insult, or if it was just done in jest. Take a look and let us know what you think!
The caricature-type drawing depicts a man with a large head jutting forward, and the hairstyle is certainly reminiscent of how Sam wears his own, albeit an exaggerated version. Plus, the man in the picture is wearing a tie, and we know Sam is one stylish dude when he’s performing!
Take Our PollWhile at first glance it’s not clear who the drawing is of, Calvin made it beyond obvious by including a speech bubble that reads, “Stay With Me?” Yep — the name of Sam’s hit that put him on the map.
Okay, so what is the message behind this drawing? There’s a few possibilities.
For one, Calvin could have formed a friendship with Sam through Taylor, and perhaps he just shared the drawing with his Snapchat friends because he thought it was funny. Sam may have even been in on it!
The drawing is definitely beyond over-exaggerated, so it’s totally possible that the whole thing was simply done in jest.
Then, of course, there’s the possibility that there’s a new feud brewing between Calvin and Sam — and this was Calvin’s way of firing shots! But, for Taylor’s sake, we really hope there’s no fight happening, because she’s super close with Sam and things are going so well in her relationship with Calvin.
Unfortunately, Taylor is kicking off her World Tour in Japan on May 5, so there won’t be as much time for her to spend with her new man…but the hit producer is willing to do whatever it takes to make it work, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.
“Calvin knows that it’s going to be an uphill battle, but he is ready for the challenge,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Friends are saying that if it goes south, it’s because she drove him away, not the other way around. Calvin is in it for the long run.”
We’re crossing our fingers!
HollywoodLifers, tell us — do you think Calvin’s drawing was a compliment/joke … or offensive insult?
