When you’re pregnant, your beauty and health routine changes dramatically. But Kate Middleton, 33, has to keep up with appearances, so she needed to find some natural alternatives to the beauty products she covets. Check out her safe pregnancy must-haves below!
Us Weekly reported on Kate’s beauty must-haves. A source close to the Duchess told the mag: “Kate is very cautious of products and treatments. Baby’s health comes first.”
To combat morning sickness, Kate “took vitamin B6 when she was pregnant with George to help with nausea, especially when she was traveling.”
Instead of her usual St. Tropez spray tans, Kate got a glow with the DHA-free Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze and NARS blush in Orgasm, a universally flattering shade and my personal favorite as well.
Kate practiced Yoga during her pregnancy to stay fit and to help “snap back quickly post baby,” the source told Us Weekly.
Anti-aging ingredients like retinoids aren’t encouraged during pregnancy, so Kate used Lancome’s Genefique serum and Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil for anti-aging benefits and a glow. “She loves the effect rosehip oil has on her skin.”
To combat stretch marks, Kate used Bio-Oil on her belly.
In regards to her famous head of hair, Kate was forced to give up chemical dyes to cover grays. Instead, she used a vegetable-based dye slightly redder than her normal color. She also avoids hairsprays while pregnant. “Changing her hair color is the toughest sacrifice,” the source told Us.
Rumor has it Kate does her own makeup for appearances. According to Us, she starts her routine with Karin Herzog Oxygen Face cream to balance her oily skin.
For makeup, she uses the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette and Lancome Hypnose mascara.
Do you love Kate’s pregnancy beauty picks? Would you use them even if you weren’t pregnant? (I would!)
