Justin Bieber, 21, and Hailey Baldwin, 18, were once inseparable, and we really thought she would be the girl he’d move on with after his split with Selena Gomez, 22. The rumored couple has cooled their relationship down immensely, and HollywoodLife.com can EXCLUSIVELY tell you why Justin decided to slow things down because Hailey was falling for him. Are his feelings for Selena to blame? We’ve got the scoop!
Even though Justin’s moved on from Selena, he never developed the same feelings for Hailey as he did for Selena. To spare Hailey any pain, he made sure their relationship came to a halt.
“Justin is having fun being single right now and doesn’t want anything serious, so he slowed things down with Hailey,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com “They were a friends with benefits situation and she couldn’t handle it. He thinks she’s a great girl but didn’t want to hurt her so he cooled things off. He’ll see her every once and a while just not as much.”Take Our Poll
It’s totally understandable why Justin cooled things down with Hailey. We already know that Justin still can’t shake his love for Selena, even though she’s with Zedd, 25. Justin doesn’t seem to want to get completely involved with a girl until he can find someone like Selena, and HollywoodLife.com also learned that Hailey was “really falling for him,” but he couldn’t reciprocate those feelings.
Justin is a caring guy and doesn’t want to see the people he loves get hurt. The singer’s been prepping for his big Comedy Central roast, but he’s more worried about Selena than himself.
“He is really nervous about what they will say about Selena because he really cares about her and is really protective of her,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. Aw!
Justin knows jabs at Selena could very well happen. Chris D’Elia, one of Justin’s roasters, said anything is a “go” at Justin’s Comedy Central event.
HollywoodLifers, are you sad that Justin and Hailey have split? Do you think he’s still meant to be with Selena? Let us know!
