Chris Zylka, 29, and Hanna Beth, 26, have called it quits — and they want to make sure everyone knows about it, apparently. The Leftovers star took to his social media accounts in the early hours on Mar. 12 to announce the break-up his model/fashion blogger fiancee and boy, did things get nasty fast!
It was Chris who gave the first hint that something was up with a late night Instagram post featuring a hand-written note that read, “You are only going to be as good as the people your surround yourself with so be brave enough to let go of those who keep weighing you down.”
But, Chris had even more to say than that. He captioned the handwritten note with, “Im disappointed that I didn’t see how fake you were, or pay attention to the backstabbing you did in front of me. I will rise up.”
An hour later from the Instagram post, Chris dropped a bombshell on Twitter that was allegedly about his time with Hanna, writing, “When someone’s boyfriend shows up at they’re house with flowers while you’re in that someone’s bed. Don’t get involved with them.” Whoa!
Take Our PollChris later clarified the allegation by posting an even more explosive follow up tweet explaining he was over at Hanna’s house and in her bed when “the guy from… London” arrived at her door with flowers. Are you kidding?
The tweets continued with Chris tweeting Hanna and telling her to have fun “staying sober” and he even called her a groupie. Ouch. His angry breakdown ended with a final tweet saying “All the things I’ve said tonight are things that I looked over and gave my everything too.”
Since then, all of the tweets seem to have been deleted. Poor Chris!
Hanna’s response to Chris’s tirade wasn’t as venomous. She posted a now-deleted quote from Laurence J. Peter, reports E! Online, that read, “Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret,” captioning it with, “Just cause you’re angry, don’t try and bring me down. The truth is always revealed. Moving forward and moving on.”
She seemed to take the “moving on” message to heart because after that post, she deleted a series of tweets responding to Nick’s allegations and name calling. Good for you, Hanna!
It’s sad to see any relationship fall apart, but when it involves such open hostility on social media, it’s even sadder. Sympathy to those involved and hopefully both will move on to better and happier things.
What do you think about this break-up, Hollywood Lifers? It was pretty nasty, wasn’t it?
