Charlie Hunnam: Back Shown In ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Opening Wasn’t His

Through seven years of ‘Sons of Anarchy,’ we’ve seen Charlie Hunnam’s back (and front) a lot. However, one time we didn’t was in the opening credits — that was actually a body double!

Who thought Charlie Hunnam would need a back double? The dramatic opening credits of Sons of Anarchy have always ended with a hot tattooed back, which we’ve always assumed was Jax’s. However, the man whose back it is just did an interview, and our minds are kind of blown!

Charlie Hunnam’s Back On ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Isn’t His

“I got booked as the body double of the guy on the show who is Charlie Hunnam, but at the time it was this show that nobody really knew about,” Tyson Sullivan told Yahoo Insider about when he was cast.Take Our Poll

He even had to audition — with a bunch of guys who looked like Charlie.

“I just went in, there was like five or six of us and they’re like, ‘Take off your shirts, let us look at your backs,’ and that was like the main part.”

So I only have one important question, what happened to all the other guys, and can we meet them?

Tyson also revealed that it’s his hand in the opening credits that is opening the knife and revving the engine of the bike. It is odd, since throughout the season we see Charlie’s back a ton during sex scenes, so why not have him in the beginning? We all are definitely aware that his body is in shape and that he has one sexy back.

Either way, this is a total shock to us — are you surprised, HollywoodLifers?
