A one minute clip of Eminem‘s new song “Vegas,” which is a part of his upcoming album Shady XV, was released on iTunes on Nov. 19. On the track, the 42-year-old Grammy-winning rapper targets Iggy Azalea, 24. The lyrics are quite disturbing.
Is Eminem taking things too far? He raps in “Vegas”:
“So swallow my pride you’re lucky just to follow my ride. If I let you run alongside the Humvee. Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski. So what’s it gon’ be? Put that s*** away Iggy. You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me. Scream! I love it. ‘Fore I get lost with the gettin’ off.”
Wow. We know Eminem is known for his rather explicit lyrics (let’s not forget “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna), but he seems to be taking things way too far, and comes off as offensive, not just towards Iggy, but also women in general.
Take Our PollEminem should also not underestimate the “Fancy” singer, because she’s one strong woman! Let’s not forget how she defended herself in a heated feud with Snoop Dogg. Plus, we bet Iggy’s boyfriend Nick Young might jump to her defense as well!
Iggy has been at the center of some pretty heated celebrity feuds, including ones with Nicki Minaj, 31, and more recently, Snoop.
After Snoop posted a nasty “make-up free” pic of Iggy on Instagram and continued to fuel the fire by calling her a b**** and the c-word, Iggy shot back.
She tweeted one of the best comebacks saying, “But the real joke here is the middle aged man whos butt hurt i asked why he was pulling a Regina George move on social media.”
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did Eminem cross a line in his new song? Do you think his “Vegas” lyrics are offensive? Sound off below!
