Once Upon A Time is making us feel all the feels. Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) finally took their romance to the next level. However, drama quickly took over. Plus, we continued to follow Anna’s (Elizabeth Lail) journey, we learned more about the Sorcerer’s Hat and someone got seriously blackmailed!
As always with Once Upon A Time, we get a flashback scene that is bound to become super important.
A hooded figure attempted to get his hands on the box with the Sorcerer’s Hat, but the apprentice warned him. “No Dark One has ever been able to break the spell inside the box,” the apprentice said. When the Dark One tried to open the box, it blasted him back!
However, there is one Dark One that has been able to get his hands on the box — Rumple!
Back to what’s really important, Emma hyped herself up to ask Hook out on a date! Hook wondered why he wasn’t the one asking her out, but Emma questioned his dating skills after 300+ years of existence. Despite the fact that Emma asked him out, Hook wanted to plan the date. Take Our Poll
I’m currently f r e a k i n g out. Hook was so adorable, cute and sexy that I can barely write.
To prep for his big night out, Hook needed some help from Rumple. Fortunately for Hook, Rumple still had his severed hand. (Gross.) “If I want to hold her, I want to be able to use both hands,” Hook explained.
I’m curling up in a little tiny ball right now. #CaptainSwan
However, there was a catch. The hand belonged to the cunning, jealous man that Hook used to be. Hook didn’t pay no mind to that. He told Rumple he would tell Belle everything about the dagger if he didn’t give him back his hand.
Emma got all dolled up for her date with Hook and Snow was overwhelmed with happiness. She wanted to savor every moment of this “first” for Emma.
Hook knocked on the door and said, “You look stunning, Swan.”
“You look…” Emma started.
“I know,” Hook said with a smirk. Goodbye to my sanity.
Then, Hook handed Emma a rose with his hand! So cute!
While Emma was away, Snow, David and Elsa continued to try and figure out what happened to Anna. Back in the day, Anna went to see Rumple, which we all know was a bad idea.
Anna got off on a bad start by asking about his skin. Poor Anna. Apparently, Elsa and Anna’s parents visited him on their trip before their death. Anna wanted to know why and was willing to do whatever it took to find out.
Rumple was ready to make a deal. He wanted her to make a certain man drink his potion. That man was the apprentice! Because she thought the potion was poison, Anna dumped it out.
Anna went back to Rumple’s and lied about giving the apprentice the potion. Much to her dismay, the potion was actually the antidote to the poison Rumple had given him. Since he didn’t receive the antidote, he turned into a mouse! Anna had failed Rumple, so naturally, there was a price.
The only way to escape from Rumple’s clutches was by killing him. Rumple knew she couldn’t do it — he was right. She was now locked in a tower forever — the tower that held the Sorcerer’s Box!
Meanwhile, Hook took Emma out to a swanky restaurant. Everything was going pretty well until Will Scarlet crashed into their table and spilled wine on Emma. Hook grabbed him and demanded he apologize. He started to realize that Rumple may have been right about the hand after all.
Hook walked Emma home and even let her wear his jacket. (Swoon.) They kissed — again! However, Hook still felt off. When Emma walked in the door, Snow and Charming wanted to know all about her night. I love them.
A drunk Will Scarlet tried breaking in to the local library until Hook flat-out punched him! “If you tell anyone about this, you are a dead man,” Hook told him. Stop it, Hook! Hook needed his hook back ASAP. He demanded Rumple return it. But of course, Rumple wanted to make a deal. Hook was willing to do whatever it took. WORDS OF DOOM!
Hook slept at the docks and was ready when Rumple arrived. Rumple was a man on a mission. They followed a broom to the apprentice’s house!
The apprentice couldn’t believe Rumple had the hat, but knew he didn’t have enough power to do what he wanted. The hat definitely had enough magic to suck the apprentice right inside!
Now that he had done what he was told, Hook wanted his hook back. But the deal wasn’t done. Rumple had Hook on video tape at the apprentice’s house and even more blackmail to shove down Hook’s throat.
According to Rumple, the hand wasn’t cursed. The hand only gave him the opportunity to be who he once was. That darn Rumple! (Still don’t believe him.)
When Belle opened the library up, she found Will Scarlet on the floor. He was brought into the police station and questioned by Emma. He was found holding Alice In Wonderland and a picture of the Red Queen in his pocket.
Interesting…
Back to the adventures with Anna, Rumple revealed that her parents came to see him for help with getting rid of Elsa’s powers. Rumple didn’t have what they were looking for at the time. Only the Sorcerer’s Hat could fix Elsa because it steals magical power.
Once it’s fully charged, Rumple would be unstoppable.
Rumple’s plan hit a little bit of a snag when the apprentice showed up — mouse form and all — and bit Rumple! He dropped the dagger and Anna picked it up.
Anna realized she could make Rumple do whatever she wanted with the dagger. She demanded that he he send her back to Arendelle and he would never hurt her, Elsa or the apprentice.
Rumple did her bidding and sent her back. She also had the box!
Anna reunited with Kristoff and it was the cutest. However, she was conflicted about whether or not she should tell Elsa what she found out.
Meanwhile, Henry and Regina were trying to figure out how to break the spell on Marian. Henry wanted to take a break from that to help Regina with Operation Mongoose. Henry realized that Rumple must have found a way to change the storybook since he was so happy with Belle.
Henry was willing to go undercover to find out how. He became Rumple’s new apprentice!
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s Once Upon A Time? Was Hook and Emma’s first date everything you wanted it to be? Is the apprentice really gone? Where in the heck is Anna? Let us know!
