To sum up the summer premiere of Under The Dome, the dome is now the nice guy, and a mysterious axe-wielding murderer is now the baddie in town. So who was killed? And are they coming back? Keep reading for an interview with Chester’s Mill latest victim. Warning: SPOILER ALERT!
Even Stephen King couldn’t save Angie.
On the June 30 premiere, which was written by the king of sic-fi himself, Britt Robertson‘s Angie McAlister was murdered by a cold-blooded killer. No word on who axed her to death (yes, she was killed off by an axe-wielding mystery man), but Britt assures viewers that Angie actually is dead. No tricks here. She is dead dead.
However, this is a Stephen King series so you never know what could happen. Is there a chance that Angie could return under the dome?
“Angie is actually dead,” the actress tells TV Guide, adding that she would be open to coming back, if she were asked. “She’s for sure dead after the first episode, but…it’s very vague what dying is and where the season goes, so who knows? I might go back to Under the Dome one of these days. She’s dead, but dead for now.”
Take Our PollIf anything, she outlived her character in the book. Let’s not even go there with that creepiness, which brings up a point — did Junior (Alexander Koch) kill her?
“Maybe it’s Big Jim (Dean Norris) because…they’re always going at it, or maybe Junior can’t take it anymore because Angie just doesn’t love him,” Britt tells the site. But she points out that if Junior didn’t kill her, he better seek out her killer and get payback in her honor. He did keep her locked up for long enough! It only seems fair!
Whoever it is, the tables have turned and now, we know what one of the story lines for Season 2 will be: who killed Angie?
“Hopefully they’ll find some peace with Angie’s death,” Britt adds. “That’s all I hope for, is that it only gets the audience even more excited to take out whoever killed me.”
Well, we’re excited!
Angie wasn’t the only one with bad fate. Linda (Natalie Martinez) was killed off, too. And not by an axe, but by the dome, which is now magnetic, apparently to save lives. But before it could save humanity, it caused a car to crash into Linda and, well, you know what happened next.
Ironically, Britt first learned about her death from Natalie.
“I actually found out from the other person who dies, Natalie,” she tells TV Guide. “I got a message from her. I think it was, ‘Hey, we’re dying. Let’s get a drink!’ I had no idea what she was talking about…It was shocking, for sure. I didn’t think that I would go that early on in the season. But…it was a cool, exciting way to die…and knowing the Stephen King is writing the episode, it doesn’t really get any better than that.”
HollywoodLifers, were you shocked by Angie and Linda’s deaths in the season premiere? Let us know if you think this round is even better than Season 1. Sound off below!
