Columbus Short‘s alleged assault saga with his estranged wife, Tanee McCall-Short, has just become more shocking and more perplexing. Tanee got a restraining order on Columbus after he allegedly threatening to kill her in February, but now he’s trying to prove that she was more violent than him.
The former Scandal star allegedly shot a video of Tanee assaulting his female friend, Tilley Key, on Feb. 19, according to TMZ (See the video here).
The brawl occurred the day after Columbus was arrested for domestic violence for an incident at his house. After Columbus was bailed out of jail, Tilly reportedly came to his and Tanee’s house to pick him up, and was then attacked by Tanee.
The video apparently shows the tail end of the altercation, with Tanee pinning down Tilley and even spitting on her. Tilley, who allegedly asked TMZ to post the video, says she suffered a concussion, cervical sprain, multiple contusions, a lumbar sprain and a lumbar strain from the fight.
While this video does add to the twisted nature of Columbus’ feud with Tanee, it doesn’t absolve him. The actor was arrested after Tanee accused him of pouring wine all over her and threatening to kill her if she lied to him. Tanee claimed that Columbus held a knife to her throat as he accused her of cheating on him with multiple men.
After the incident, Tanee filed for a divorce as well as a restraining order that forced Columbus out of their house. Additionally, the actor was fired from his role on Scandal.
We really don’t know what to think about this newly revealed video, but it seems clear that both Columbus and Tanee need to stay away from each other.
