Famed singer Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell were arrested on “some sort of a domestic violence charge,” at his New Canaan, Conn. home, police have confirmed. The two have been married since ’92, and have three children together!
There aren’t many details yet known about the arrest of Paul Simon, half of the famed duo Simon & Garfunkel, and his wife, lead singer of Edie Brickell & New Bohemians.
The New Canaan Police Department is holding press conference at 11:30 a.m. EST on April 28, NBC confirmed.
The arrest comes as a shock to many as his message in many songs is about keeping the peace.
Edie and Paul were married in May 1992 and have three children, Adrian Edward Simon, Lulu Belle Simon, and Gabriel Elijah Simon.
Paul is one of the most well-known musicians, and as won 12 Grammys — Graceland, Still Crazy After All These Years and Bridge Over Troubled Ware were all named Album of the Year. He is part of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of fame twice — once for his duo and once alone. In 2003, he even was given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys for his work in Simon & Garfunkel.
More details of the arrest will be posted when available.
