Arian Foster‘s ex-girlfriend, Brittany Norwood, alleges that the Texans running back has been pressuring her to get an abortion after learning that she is pregnant with his son. Brittany, 20, filed a lawsuit against Arian, 27, which includes a restraining order, calls for child support, and charges for emotional damages stemming from the stress of being pressured into considering an abortion.
Brittany said her relationship with Arian ended as soon as he found out about her pregnancy, and then he tried to convince her to have an abortion since he is married to another woman, Romina Reinhart, and has a 3-year-old daughter, Zeniah.
“He’s like, ‘You can’t have this, you can’t have this kid, like, we cannot bring a child into this, like, think about my kids,’” Brittany told KHOU-TV, revealing she is 17 weeks pregnant and due in June 2014.
Brittany claimed Arian sent her harassing messages urging her to terminate the pregnancy. “You just can’t bring a life into this world under these circumstances. It’s not fair to anyone. It’s not just about you,” Brittany claims one text message from Arian read.
Brittany’s attorneys filed for a temporary restraining order against Arian on Jan. 14, and Texas’ Harris County Family Court ruled that the pair cannot contact or harass each other until a decision about the lawsuit is made, reported KHOU. Brittany’s legal team want Arian to take a DNA test to prove his paternity.
In response, Arian’s lawyer filed a for a gag order, because he claimed Brittany was planning to appear on a reality show about being pregnant with the footballer’s baby. The judge denied this request, but the pair are working to privately come to a resolution.
