Congratulations are in order for the star and her fiancé after he presented her with a blinding, 8.5 carat engagement ring — and it comes with a hefty price tag!
Gabrielle Union couldn’t contain her excitement after her boyfriend of four years, Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade, popped the question — and after taking one glance at her stunning ring, who could blame her? The 41-year-old actress took to Instagram to break the exciting news — and she shared a picture of her brand new bling along with a sweet message.

“Sooooo this happened…#Yessss,” she posted on her Instagram account on Dec. 21, along with the photo of her gorgeous new engagement ring. Her 31-year-old fiancé posted the same photo on his account along with an excited message. “She said YES!!! @gabunion.”
Gabrielle’s 8.5 carat, 4-prong, cushion cut engagement ring was from celeb jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. According to jewelry expert Shari Fabrikant of Robert Fabrikant Inc. in NYC, the ring came with a very hefty price tag! “Ring is gorgeous. Love it! Looks like an excellent color and the clarity seems very good. It is cut beautifully. The setting is a simple platinum band with diamond set, so that the entire focus is on stone. It is quite a large stone but in very good taste. It is not garish. If this stone is an F VVS stone, the ring would run at least $800,000-$1,000,000,” she said.
It’s safe to say Christmas came early for Gabrielle — and this is one holiday she will never forget!
