Abrianna Atwell and Paul Walker had been best friends for years, and dated on and off. They had traveled the world together, and when Abrianna’s father passed away on Nov. 25, Paul called her to console her. She was completely heartbroken after hearing that her best friend had died in a fiery crash just days later, on Nov. 30.
When Abrianna received a text from a friend of Paul’s that read “Call me please,” she knew something was wrong, she told Las Vegas Review Journal. She was in the midst of planning her father’s funeral, who passed away from cancer at the age of 63.

“Paul was going to be with me on the day of my dad’s service,” she told Las Vegas Sun. “He was the most generous, unconditionally loving person I’ve known. He gave everything. I will live my life to the fullest extent for my father and Paul.”
Before passing away, her father David even wrote an email to Paul, thanking him for everything he had done in his life. “My dad told him how much he loved him and how much he appreciated him protecting me. It was an overdue expression of gratitude,” she said.
Paul and Abrianna met when she was in modeling school in Los Angeles more than 12 years ago. They dated on and off and lived together in both Santa Barbara and Santa Monica. They had since “traveled the world together,” she said, including her last birthday when he took her to San Francisco to see a Giants game.
“I raced home from that so my father, who was ill, could see me become baptized,” she added. “These were the two loves of my life and the most important men in my life. I am devastated.”
Abrianna is going through an extremely hard time, but is especially worried about Paul’s 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker.
“We talked every week, at least. We talked a lot about his daughter, who was everything to him,” she continued to The Sun. His daughter, who just recently moved in with Paul, was at the charity event in Santa Clarita when the accident took place.
“My heart is aching for Meadow,” she told the Journal. “Paul was so committed to her. That’s what’s so hard about this. All he wanted to do was protect his daughter.”
