Good things come to those who wait, right? Pharrell Williams, 40, and Helen Lasichanh got married in a secret ceremony in late August, but the couple held off having an actual ceremony and reception until Oct. 12. On the weekend fall day, the couple made up for lost time with a glamorous garden party in Miami.
Pharrell and Helen held their bash at the National Tropical Botanical Garden , the Kampong in Coconut Grove, according to Page Six.
That’s right — a garden party. Honestly, Pharrell is one of the classiest, most stylish dudes in Hollywood, we’re not surprised he rented out Miami’s botanical gardens to hold his wedding reception… more than a month after his wedding.
And the party started in style, as Pharrell and Helen exchanged vows while on a lavish yacht aptly named “Never Say Never,” according to Mail Online.
More impressive than the party’s locale though was the guest list. The bash brought out a ton of big names, like Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Paula Patton, and Gwen Stefani. And at the reception, Usher and Busta Rhymes reportedly put on a mini-concert!
These big-name guests were reportedly instructed to wear “garden party attire” and special slippers may have even been given out upon arrival. There’s no doubt that it was one of the biggest celebrations of the year. “Half the music business will be there,” a source told Page Six before the soiree.
Pharrell and Helen tied the knot in August during an intimate ceremony in France. The wedding was kept very small, with only family and very close friends, and of course their four-year-old son, Rocket Man.
They had been dating for about five years before making it official.
They may have held off on celebrating, but this party definitely sounds worth the wait. Congratulations to the happy couple!
