As Kate Middleton and Prince William prepare to be first-time parents to the royal baby this summer, the proud dad-to-be is already gushing about his fatherly duties!
Will and his younger brother Prince Harry visited the Help for Heroes recovery center for injured troops at Tedworth House in Tidworth, Wiltshire, where he mingled with injured service members and their families.
The heir to the throne got a first-hand look at being a dad by the troops who brought along their young kids. Will was even asked by Corporal Josh Boggi — who brought is two-year-old son Jenson with him — if was looking forward to being a dad himself.
“Very much so,” Will answered, according to the Daily Mail.
He also revealed that he has been warned about the long, late nights with a newborn baby!
“All the mothers have been looking at me, ‘just you wait, just you wait. Long sleepless nights,'” he joked.
But we have no doubt that Prince William will be willing to stay up late with his baby — he has already proved that he wants to be a hands-on dad! Will is planning on being in the hospital room when the baby is delivered, and he is even going to take a leave from his job in the military to be home.
So sweet! Sounds like he’s going to be an amazing dad.
