Amanda Berry: Cleveland Kidnap Victim Visits Her Mother’s Grave

Amanda is paying her respects to the past and eyeing a future in the South, according to her uncle who resides in Tennessee.

Amanda Berry, 27, visited her mother’s grave on Monday, May 13, in Ohio, her uncle revealed. Amanda’s mom, Louwana Miller, died in 2006 at the age of 43 after being hospitalized for pancreatitis. Others say she died of a broken heart after Amanda was abducted in 2003.

Amanda Berry Visit’s Mother’s Grave

“She went to the cemetery this morning,” Curtis Berry, Amanda’s uncle in Elizabethton, Tenn., told the Daily News on May 13.

Amanda’s family, including her father, lives in Elizabethton, Tennessee and it’s likely Amanda, who was held in captivity for nearly a decade, may want to relocate down south. Amanda reportedly visited her dad often before being abducted in 2003.

“She has more kin here than anywhere else,” Curtis said. “This is her home.”

While in captivity, Amanda birthed a child, Jocelyn, now 6, who was fathered by her abductor Ariel Castro.

Ariel Castro Charged With Rape & Kidnapping

Ariel and two other women were held in captivity and never left Ariel’s house. On May 6, all three women and Amanda’s daughter were rescued after a next-door neighbor heard shouting coming from the house and discovered a passerby trying to rescue Amanda from the basement.

All of the women were returned to their family’s in healthy condition, and Ariel was arrested in connection to the horrific crime. He’s since been charged.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Amanda move down south?
