Fourth Teen Disappeared From Ohio Area — Another Kidnapping Victim?

While Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were all rescued after being missing for over a decade, Ashley Summers has still not been found. Is her disappearance connected?

Ariel, Onil and Pedro Castro were arrested on May 7 for allegedly holding Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight captive in their home for nearly ten years. The girls have been safely returned to their families, but another teen called Ashley Summers who disappeared in the same area has still not been found. The FBI now plan to interview the girls to see if they knew anything about Ashley’s disappearance, because they believe the Castro brothers could be involved.

Ashley Summers Vanished In Cleveland Area

Ashley was 14-years-old on July 6, 2007, when she went missing from her home in the same neighborhood where Amanda and Gina had vanished. Her family now hope that the discovery of the other girls will offer up new leads in Ashley’s disapperance.

In 2009, the FBI said they suspected a link between Ashley’s disappearance and those of Amanda and Gina, and now they plan to interview the girls about Ashley to see if they can shed some light on the matter.

“We are keeping Ashley in our thoughts as we go every step of the way,” said Special Agent Vicki Anderson, of the FBI Cleveland Division to Cleveland.com on May 7. “Whether it is something we find at the house, or someone seeing the stories remembers something, we continue our search for Ashley.”

Ashley’s family are also optimistic.

“We’re hoping that it’s connected, and they knew where she was,” her aunt Debra Summers told CNN. “We’re hoping for a miracle.”

Hopefully Ashley will be found safe and sound.

Amanda Berry & Other Girls Escape House

Amanda, who vanished on April 21, 2003, a day before her 17th birthday, made a call to authorities on May 6 when she bolted from Ariel’s house. Gina, missing since April 2, 2004, and Michelle, 32, last seen in 2002 at age 21, were also in the house with Amanda.

After escaping the home, Amanda called police and with the help of a neighbor, she and the girls were rescued.

“Help me I’m Amanda Berry. I need police. I’ve been kidnapped. I’ve been missing for 10 years,” Amanda told authorities. “I’m Amanda Berry. I’ve been in the news for the last 10 years.”

Let’s hope that Ashley’s family get the same relief as the other girls’.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do YOU hope Ashley will be found?
