Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly expecting a baby boy, and this little Prince will most definitely be getting the royal treatment! Kate and William’s first baby — and heir to the throne — has been given a most special gift: his own lullaby! Renowned composer Paul Mealor wrote a special lullaby called “Sleep On” just for the baby. How sweet!
Paul, 37, composed some of the music played at William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, and he says he only seemed “natural” to write new music for their baby.
After writing music for the Royal Wedding it seemed natural to provide the musical accompaniment for the next stage of the royal couple’s journey together.
Famous classical singer Hayley Westenra will sing the song, and she said:
Paul and I got together to work on a song called Sleep On in honour of William and Kate’s new arrival as it’s such a joyous occasion which we can all celebrate.
The song will appear on Hayley’s new album full of lullabies.
This is such cute news! The baby can listen to his lullaby in his special nursery.
Kate and William are staying in their cozy cottage while they wait for their elaborate 20-bedroom apartment at 1A in Kensington Palace to be completed — and will be there when their first child arrives.
“They have a small nursery prepped, but it’s humble,” a source close to the royal couple tells Us Weekly. “Kate felt it wasn’t worth the money to go all-out.”
The insider also revealed that Kate wants to be super close to her baby, especially in the crucial first few bonding weeks.
“For the precious first weeks, Kate wants the baby to sleep in their room,” the source reveals.
What do YOU think Hollymoms? Would like to hear the lullaby?
