Sarah Jessica Parker Channels Carrie Bradshaw & Shows Off Her Bra
The stylish actress looked like she took a step back into Carrie’s closet — and we loved it!
It felt like a scene right out of Sex & The City when Sarah Jessica Parker walked the red carpet for the premiere of the HBO documentary In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye in NYC on Dec. 4 in a vintage dress that dipped low in the back, (putting her bra on full display), and a pair of lavender and pink python pumps. While deliberately revealing your bra straps in public would seem sloppy on practically anyone else, there is one woman who always managed to make it work — and it’s SJP’s SATC character, Carrie Bradshaw!
Between the bra straps and the way the stylish star paired her printed dress with python pumps, the star was clearly having a very Carrie moment. The reason I don’t mind the visible bra with the short-sleeved, rust-colored, patterned dress is because it’s the exact same color as the frock. Her blue velvet Fendi baguette may be an unexpected choice, but the star pulls it off flawlessly — and the gold fringe detailing seems to work so well with her red carpet get-up. Going above and beyond with her choice of styling, SJP finished off the ensemble with a pair of Jean-Michel Cazabat python pumps in lavender and pink.
Had anyone else tried to work this look I would’ve been wondering if they got dressed in the dark, but on SJP I’m loving it! I really feel like SJP took the look right of Carrie’s closet — and it’s so appropriate for the event.
While I would caution anyone from flashing their bra at a holiday cocktail party, I love how SJP kept things interesting on the red carpet last night. What do you think?
