Katie Holmes' Father In New York — Fires Staff, Takes Control
Katie Holmes’ lawyer father is taking precautions to protect his daughter from Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology. He’s taken control — do you think Katie needs help escaping from Tom’s world?
On June 28, Katie Holmes‘ father, an Ohio-based attorney, Martin Holmes, arrived in New York City to help his daughter get away from Tom Cruise, firing the people surrounding Katie. “He took control,” People reports.
“He was worried about his daughter,” the source adds. The decision to divorce was Katie’s decision, and she left Tom, who is in Iceland filming Oblivion, “totally devastated and heartbroken.”
Only three weeks ago, Tom told People, “You’re blessed to be able to live your dream and have the family that I have, the wife and children that I have.”
But it’s not just Tom that Katie married. “When you’re married to Tom Cruise, he doesn’t come alone. He has people with him all the time. You marry the 10 people who always surround him.”
Sources also claim Tom is “hurt and confused. Ultimately, he knows they respect each other wand will work it out amicably.”
The Mirror is reporting that Katie has fired her publicist of the “Tom years” — Ina Trecoikas — and gone back to her pre-TomKat publicists Leslie Sloane and Nanci Ryder.
