'Bachelor' Producers Kept Monica Spannbauer On The Show To Stir Up Drama

Former ‘Bachelorette’ winner Jesse Csincsak tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that he thinks producers told Monica to hit on Blakeley during Ben Flajnik’s ‘Bachelor’ premiere.

Bachelor producers love to spark drama to each season. Last season, notorious bad boy Bentley Williams played Bachelorette Ashley Hebert for a fool. This season, two women — Monica Spannbauer and Blakeley Shea — seem more interested in dating each other than Ben Flajnik. Former Bachelorette winner Jesse Csincsak tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Monica and Blakeley’s whole interaction was probably staged by producers.

“I think Monica and Blakeley are there for the simple fact to stir up drama,” Jesse shares with us. “They are being kept there by producers.”

During the premiere episode of The Bachelor on Jan. 2, Monica openly professed to the cameras: “I love girls. I love Blakeley. There is something to be said about a gorgeous, real woman.” Then, she got caught cuddling up on a couch and flirting with Blakeley. “You’re my experience. If you’re the only thing I get out of this, I have lived and I have lived great,” she whispered to Blakeley. “I think there’s a lot of things that can come from this and it’s not just love. You are in my life forever. I know this. You, I don’t know what it is. You’re beautiful. You’re amazing. You know I need your number right?”

“I think these two were told to do that from the beginning and will stay on the show until there stupid tricks run out,” Jesse explains.

Jesse also believes that producers set it up so that Lindzi Cox arrived on a horse. “I think Lindzi is a cool girl,” says Jesse. “I liked that she set herself apart from the rest of the girls by riding in on a horse, but only time will tell to see if she can keep from being produced because we know that she didn’t come up with the horse idea on her own. That was production.”

Ben had no clue that any of this folly was going on between Monica and Blakeley. “That was to my surprise,” he admitted to Access Hollywood. “I don’t get to see everything.  I didn’t know it went on.”

Host Chris Harrison even pretended to be surprised. “I really don’t know what to make of Monica and Blakeley’s relationship,” he wrote in his Entertainment Weekly blog.
