In the introduction chapter titled “La Famiglia,” Teresa first slams Caroline for her cooking style — saying that “Caroline’s as Italian as the Olive Garden.” Teresa next claims to be a “huge fan of Caroline,” but downplays that by adding, “Even if she’s 1/16 Italian.” Lastly, she calls out Caroline’s sons Albie and Chris for being homebodies. “Albie and Christopher Manzo are adorable, but don’t let them fool you,” Teresa writes. “Their ‘L’ in ‘GTL’ (Gym-Tanning-Laundry) is ‘Leave it for Mom.'”
Caroline has admittedly gotten upset about what’s in Teresa’s book. “She’s hurting people to bring herself up,” Caroline told In Touch magazine. “I’m done.”
Next, Teresa goes off on her cousin Kathy. “Do I wish my cousin would stop with the lame jokes? Yes,” she says.
And then, Teresa aims at her favorite target, Melissa. “Do I wish my baby sister-in-law didn’t copy everything I do down to the shoes I wear and the chairs on my front porch? Of course!” she states.
To finish off the intro, Teresa again roasts Caroline referring to their past meatball cooking contest on Rachael Ray. “I thought we were cooking authentic Italian food,” she emphasizes. “Caroline deep-fried her meatballs. Deep-fried? Who does that? Does she serve fried Twinkies for dessert?”
Wow! And that was just the introduction to her cookbook. It’s no wonder that these women can’t stand Teresa anymore. Teresa just can’t stop “smack talking” as she calls it — and that’s a major problem. People can only put up with ugly jests for so long before they are finished!
