“The couple are now in Anglesey, and will remain there more or less for the entire rest of the summer and autumn,” a Clarence House spokesman told HollywoodLife.com Friday morning.
William and Kate returned from a grueling eleven-day tour of Canada and the U.S. last week, and are enthusiastic to try and enjoy some semblance of a normal life. Kate, in particular, is eager to take a breather from her newfound life as a see-and-be-seen Royal.
“They want to go back and have a married life together under the radar and enjoy their life in Anglesey—keeping things chilled,” a source told The Daily Mail.
And Kate deserves a timeout, a senior Royal aide told the Daily Mail, since she bowled over Buckingham Palace with the ease, sophistication and relative adherence to Royal protocol during the trip.
“It was a big ask thrusting her into the limelight like that—particularly because she hasn’t had training or experience at being a working royal—but she has just taken it all in her stride,” the aide said. “She really has blown us all away.”
Another reason Kate is eager to spend time away from the limelight with her man in uniform is that 2012 is shaping up to be a very busy, and, at times, a lonely period for Kate: William is expected to spend two months on deployment on the Falkland Islands—and Kate’s won’t be accompanying him. Then, since 2012 is The Queen’s Jubilee year, marking her 60th anniversary of her becoming monarch, William and Kate will visit a series of Commonwealth countries on behalf of the Queen.
