Bonnie Says: Going to the Gym to Shower with Kiehl’s is HOT!

Reading Time: 2 minute

Have you ever hustled yourself to the gym to workout, just because it felt so good to shower and shampoo there?

If you haven’t, then you might want to check out one of Equinox’s 46 gyms in nine cities across the U.S. The workout center has seen an almost 30% increase in members showering there, ever since the gym introduced four Kiehl’s bath and body products: Grapefruit Liquid Body Cleanser, Amino Acid Shampoo, Grooming Aid formula 133 and Creme de Corps Body Moisturizer, a few months ago.

The unexpected result of the introduction is that celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, John Mayer and Hillary Swank, as well as non-bold-namer members, are actually showering more often at Equinox gyms, instead of hurrying home to hit the showers there.

“We heard that Equinox’s towel turnover is up by a third — people are actually going to the gyms just to shower since the Kiehl’s introduction,” Clyde Johnson, Head of Education for Kiehl’s, confided.

“The biggest surprise was that the guys noticed the ‘gender neutral’ products,” Equinox COO Scott Rosen told me.

I can back this up because the reason I heard about the Keihl’s shower revolution at Equinox, was from my husband and gym member Michael, who started coming home weirdly raving about this grapefruit shower cleanser, he’d become addicted to.

I’m telling you BFFs about it because in these recessionista times, how often do you get a spa-like treat? And Equinox really did hand one out to its members for no extra charge.

For those of you who just want to check out the Keihl’s products without having to join a gym, here’s the scoop on the Equinox 4, which you can order from Kiehls.com.

Amino Acid Shampoo: Coconut oil-  which smooths hair and adds shine – is the key ingredient: $7 for 2.5 fl. oz. bottle

Hair Conditioner and Grooming Aid Formula 133: Light orange/honeysuckle fragrance: $7 fpr 2.5 fl. oz. bottle

Grapefruit Liquid Body Cleanser: High concentration of glycerin humectant, so it’s moisturizing: $25 for 16.9 fl. oz. bottle

Creme de Corps Moisturizer: Key ingredient is squalene, derived from olive oil: $8 for 2.5 fl. oz. tube

I’ve tried them out — had to, so I could  bond with the hubby — and they are pretty darn yummy!
