He blabbed the most personal details and opinions about his love and sex life with his exes… and now he wants them and us to forgive him?
The blabbermouth Mayer used his sold -out Feb 25th Madison Square Garden concert in NYC to not just promote his album , Battle Studies , but also to try and counter the effects of his douchey behavior. He took to the stage and apologized once again for crass comments he made about exes Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston in the March 2010 issue of Playboy.
“I hate to come off like an a–hole ever, and thank you guys for believing that I am not an a–hole,” he told the crowd according to MTV News, adding, “Never, ever in my entire life did I ever think that it would be a good idea to be an a–hole. But you know what? There’s plenty of a–holes who think the same thing, so I have to thank you.”
John, 32, is ready to wipe the slate clean after fans and foes alike were totally turned off by his remarks in the interview where he compared sex with Jessica, 29, his girlfriend from 2006 to 2007, to using crack cocaine. “Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm,” he said in the interview.
He also hit ex Jennifer, 41, whom he dated from Apr. 2008 to Mar. 2009 where it hurt by implying their relationship went south because of “technology”. “There was a rumor that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn’t it, but that was a big difference.” he says in the article, adding, “The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she’s still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction.” And I always said, “These are the new rules.”
The Heartbreak Warfare singer concedes he’s a changed man, tells his fans at MSG, “It’s a clean me now, people, clean me.”
Is he really, or is this some new found attempt to gain sympathy? Not sure if we buy it just yet!
